Privacy Policy

Summary

Lovely Finance is designed so your budget data stays on your device. We do not operate a server that stores your accounts, bills, transactions, or pot balances. You control optional features that may contact third-party services.

Data stored on your device

The app stores locally, on your iPhone or iPad, information you enter or generate, including:

• Account names, balances, and currency settings
• Bills, income schedules, manual transactions, and pot allocations
• Payment marks, instalment plans, and forecast state
• App preferences (notifications, theme, security settings)
• Optional profile display name and avatar choices
• Exported backup files you create (saved where you choose in Files or iCloud Drive)

This data is not transmitted to us as the app developer unless you explicitly use an optional feature described below.

Sign in with Apple (optional)

You may optionally sign in with Apple to personalise your profile on this device. Apple provides authentication according to their privacy policy. Sign in is not required to use budgeting features.

Optional network features

These are off by default and only apply if you turn them on in App settings:

• Brand logos (Brandfetch) — If enabled, the app may request small brand icons from Brandfetch’s CDN using payee or account names you have entered. Requests go to Brandfetch, not to us. Icons may be cached on your device.
• Advanced AI reports (Claude) — If enabled, you provide your own Anthropic API key. Report narration requests are sent directly from your device to Anthropic according to their terms and privacy policy. We do not receive those requests.
• On-device Apple Intelligence — When available on your device and selected for reports, narration may use Apple’s on-device intelligence without sending budget data to us.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device (for example bill or instalment reminders). Notification content is derived from data already stored locally. We do not send push notifications from our own servers.

Face ID, Touch ID, and App Lock

Biometric authentication and PINs are handled by iOS on your device. We do not collect or store your biometric data.

Lovely Finance Plus (optional subscription)

Lovely Finance Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details.

Apple may share subscription status with the app so we can unlock Plus features on your device. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Analytics and tracking

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking in Lovely Finance. Standard Apple diagnostics may be collected by Apple if you opt in at the system level.

Children

Lovely Finance is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
